What is a Triathlon?

A multistage competition involving completion of 3 continuous and sequential disciplines. Triathlon in its most popular form involves swimming, cycling and then running in immediate succession over various distances.

Distances for adults start at “ Super Sprint” a 400 metre swim, 10 kilometre bike, 2.5 kilometre run to the full “Ironman” 3.8 kilometre swim, 112 mile bike, and finally a marathon 26.2 mile run! The latter being quite a challenge


As I am a member of the Great Britain Age Group triathlon team I’m always really excited when clients say they want to have a go.
Triathlon is the UKs fastest growing sport and I know why, it's a lot of fun!

If you can swim and you have a bike (and a helmet!) then you can do a triathlon, it really is that simple!

Triathlon has a great entry level with distances which could take you just over an hour to complete.
I can help you with all aspects of becoming a triathlete and advise you on all the preparation necessary to make it a day you will want to repeat over and over, trust me!
